Headland Benefice

Who We Are

The Headland Benefice lies on the East Yorkshire coast between Filey and Bridlington.

The Benefice is made up of three Parishes: Flamborough; Bempton and Buckton; Reighton and Speeton.

The churches are all at the centre of village life, for the glory of God, and for everyone to use. As part of our expression of faith, we offer hospitality after services and at many social events throughout the year.

Social highlights include: flower festivals in summer, harvest festivals, Remembrance, nativity on the hoof (with real donkey), and a Christingle service which brings families together to herald Christmas. If you have a head for heights and like early mornings, then the 7am Ascension Day service from the top of St Oswald’s tower might be for you!

We have close links with two schools in our Benefice, Flamborough C.E. (VC) Primary School and Bempton Primary School

Our Headland Benefice magazine. You might like to take out a subscription of £8.40 per year, or make a donation. Please phone Caroline on 07780 625822

Foodbank donations are collected regularly from church. Please leave your contribution in the box at the back of church.
